THE LOCATIONS

 

Northstar will be shot on location in Michigan's Upper Peninsula with production centered around Seth and Nathan Anderson's home town of Iron Mountain. Additional shooting will take place on the former grounds of KI Sawyer, a retired air force base near Gwinn, Michigan. Since deciding to shoot in the area, the production team has been able to gather a solid base of community support for the project. It is with this deep sense of local pride that the Anderson Brothers have made it a goal with Northstar to put a spotlight on a region that has inspired their creative lives. The vast natural resources on display in the film will reflect their love of the area and the underseen beauty it can offer to audiences.
